Office Principles has recently completed an office fit-out for Anadarko, one of the world’s largest oil and natural gas exploration companies. Because of their rapid growth within the last few years, Anadarko required more space to accommodate their expansion. They decided to keep their new office close to home by taking an additional floor within their current premises. They asked Office Principles to champion their new office interior design and we were more than happy to oblige.
After carrying out a full space and team audit, we found that privacy and acoustics were top priorities for employees. From this we decided to implement a generous number of individual cellular offices around the perimeter of the open plan space that was positioned in the centre.
We designed the office with clean cut surfaces and minimalistic furniture to portray a sense of technical professionalism that would match the company brand. Though the main focus was acoustics and privacy, we still made sure open collaboration was present in the design by utilising high back sofas in open meeting areas and glass screens so staff were still connected even when in a closed office.
