Andy Murray at the Queen’s Court

On Friday 19th June, several of the staff at Office Principles were lucky enough to attend the Queen’s Club to watch Andy Murray play tennis.  After purchasing a number of tickets we decided it would be a great opportunity to entertain some of our partners and clients!

Normally, we’d be helping our clients to arrange their office fit-out or refurbishment, but not today. Instead, we took this opportunity to enjoy Britain’s marvellous weather (take that with a pinch of salt) and enjoy an exhilarating match between Andy Murray and Giles Muller.

Muller finished in 2013 at no 368 in the world tennis rankings, but has made his way back up to the top 50, and had several successful rounds preceding his match against Andy Murray.

After struggling for the first 70 minutes, Murray improved his play greatly towards the end and relaxed into the game, winning after nearly two hours. The whole match had us on the edge of our seats, so just as well that the chairs were comfortable! Having extensive knowledge and expertise in designing office furniture, we know good seating when we feel one.

Following the match we watched, Murray continued into the Queen’s Club semi-finals to play Viktor Troicki. The match was suspended to Sunday 21st June because of the rain, marvellous weather indeed. But that didn’t stop Murray from eventually beating Troicki which put him through to the finals, where he beat Kevin Anderson.
