Office Principles has announced that it has secured the services of Jim Powell in the role of technical services manager. A highly experienced technical services professional, with a broad blue-chip client portfolio, including high profile projects for names such as Savilles, Goldman Sachs, Live Nation and BT, Jim has worked across a full range of sectors and will be joining the workplace design and fit out consultant۪s London team.

With a specialist knowledge of the London market, Jim will be based in the South but will liaise with a full list of ME&P consultants and provide technical support and direction to all of Office Principles۪ offices.
Besides high square footage CAT A and CAT B spaces, Jim has worked on many complex projects involving heritage sites; the rerouting of critical cooling rooms and high level back up plans; accommodating sitting tenants; and ensuring that clients and occupants have been able to take a business as usual۪ approach, with no negative impact on levels of trading.
Jim is pleased to be joining Office Principles at a point when many workers are negotiating a move back into the City and landlords۪ needs are changing: There is great opportunity in CAT A and CAT B fit out right now and it۪s an exciting time to be talking to clients and landlords.
We can play a key part in helping them to manage change and in negotiating a post-Covid workplace that is fit for purpose and that has progressed from the spaces they have left behind.
I۪m looking forward to supporting the team in building Office Principles۪ standing in London, while providing specialist expert consultation and guidance to the teams elsewhere in the UK. Managing director of the London office, Rory Smyth is delighted that Office Principles has made this latest appointment: ME&P is the most crucial part of the majority of the projects we undertake so to introduce someone at the level that Jim is, with his know-how and experience, is a real coup. Given many of London۪s buildings۪ complex requirements, Jim۪s likely to play a significant role in consolidating new business and boulstering our presence in the City.
