Desso have just launched a new range or carpet tiles, Materials in Touch. It is a product that has been developed to appeal to an architect’s desire to create a sensory experience within the interior.
The designer at Desso, Birgit van de Ven said, “All the tiles in Materials in Touch have a pronounced textured feel – encouraging users to touch the floor”.
There are 6 ranges with the collection which have each been inspired by a crafts such as knitting, weaving, and embroidery. This helps to add warmth and softness to a space. The collection includes Frisk, Tweed, Fields, Ribble, Race and Essense structure.
Desso have always been concerned about creating a positive impact on the environment and this latest collection follows their Cradle to Cradle concept. This means that all their products are made of materials designed to be disassembled and safely recycled after use.
The design of the tiles promotes a sense of wellbeing in the workplace by focusing on textures and materials, which helps to create a more relaxed and ‘at home’ feel.
