We have transformed part of the headquarters of listed homewares pottery maker, Portmeirion Group.

Office Principles North has created an inspiring, activity-based work environment over 9,047 sq ft at the Group۪s London Road premises in Stoke-on-Trent.

Portmeirion - which owns brands including Spode, Royal Worcester, Pimpernel, Wax Lyrical and Namb- has made a significant investment in the refurbishment of its headquarters as part of a wider brand refresh.

The project has delivered modern and flexible facilities for Portmeirion۪s 550 head office staff, as the business moves to a hybrid working model.

Office Principles۪ design reflects the positioning of each of the Group۪s homeware brands through a combination of open plan presentation, design and creative workspaces.

The interior design consultancy has delivered new coworking areas with hot desking facilities, a creative meeting lounge and a photography studio, as well as lounge-style seating, meeting huts and a write on wall.

A quiet library and private call pods have been allocated for focused work, with a kitchen bar, family-style pantry and feature botanical garden fostering employee wellbeing and community.

Gary Tailby, joint managing director, Office Principles North, said: Businesses are acutely aware that employees۪ expectations have changed due to COVID-19. The office is no longer just a place to work in, it۪s a destination that is collaborative and creative, and focused on our wellbeing. We۪ve adapted existing office space to provide a workplace that reflects Portmeiron۪s proud heritage and its culture. It delivers a great work life experience for Portmeiron۪s people and will allow them to thrive through new, agile ways of working.
