Office Principles has been hired to deliver a fit out and refurbishment project at the new 430,000 sq ft Northampton premises of British chocolatier and cocoa grower, Hotel Chocolat.

The complex, fast track project will see the delivery of new office space, canteen and reception facilities and CAT A infrastructure works at Unit 2, Panattoni Park.

Office Principles has worked with Hotel Chocolat to develop a design that reflects the chocolatier’s brand and takes inspiration from its award-winning product range.

Multifunctional workspaces will be marked by central, baton-style walkways that connect entrance and exit points, providing accessibility for drivers, warehouse operatives and office-based staff.

The wellbeing enhanced space will feature an extensive use of greenery, while natural light will be improved by the installation of new windows in the existing façade.

Works will include the delivery of new toilet and shower facilities, the extension of an existing mezzanine floor and the base build of a new distribution centre and outlet facility.

Office Principles will deliver the project in conjunction with a professional team that includes WSP and Carter Jonas. It is expected to be completed in November 2023.

Tom Parsons, sales director at Office Principles, said:

Hotel Chocolat was impressed by the quality of our design and the vision we share for a light, green and inclusive space that caters for the varying needs of its people. The look and feel of the workspace will be on brand, with a colour scheme and finishes that have been developed in collaboration with Hotel Chocolat’s in-house marketing team and correlate with its high street outlets. We’ll be delivering the full project in a little over 12 weeks but the new facilities have been designed to support Hotel Chocolat’s growth plans for at least the next decade.
