We joined forces with Lounge Underwear on the fit-out of the new global headquarters to raise £7,500 for two of the retailers nominated charities, Trekstock and CoppaFeel.
We agreed to launch the initiative to coincide with the delivery of HQME, the new 54,000 sq ft headquarters of Lounge Underwear at 1 Blythe Gate.
Employees from Office Principles and its major suppliers donated funds and wore pink high-vis vests during the delivery of the project to raise breast cancer awareness.
The donations were presented to representatives from the two charities at a special event to mark the building's opening.
Gary Tailby, joint Managing Director of Office Principles North, said: "HQME is a workplace destination that is geared towards the health and wellbeing of its occupants, so it is fitting that the building should be launched by highlighting the work of two fantastic cancer charities. We aim to leave a lasting legacy through the projects we deliver and it was a pleasure to work with Lounge Underwear and our valued suppliers in raising funds to support Trekstock and CoppaFeel."
Office Principles completed work on the full fit-out of the ground and first floors of 1 Blythe Gate in Solihull, as part of Lounge Underwear's ambitious plans to double its headcount over the next 12 months.
The activity-based workplace will initially house more than 100 employees from Lounge Underwear's head office departments including product, marketing, operations and creative, with capacity to cater for more than 500 staff in the future.
Trekstock is the only charity that offers tailored support to people diagnosed with cancer in their 20s or 30s. The charity works with young people to tackle social isolation and improve quality of life through and beyond treatment.
CoppaFeel is the first breast cancer charity in the UK to solely create awareness amongst young people, with the aim of instilling the knowledge and tools they need to get to know their bodies.
