Forsyth Barnes

Having secured its new UK headquarters in Nottingham, Forsyth Barnes wanted to create a workspace that reflected and celebrated its young, ambitious and dynamic culture.

Overview

Recruitment is a fast paced and often highly challenging sector, so one of our key tasks was to design a space that would enable employees to play as hard as they work, with an emphasis on fun, engaging activities. We also closely considered the need for flexibility, both in the way in which Forsyth Barnes wants its employees to work and its plans for expansion, with the potential to develop further adjacent office space as the team continues to grow. The project necessitated a close working relationship with the landlord, who had recently refurbished the office to Grade A accommodation. We wanted to ensure the maximum benefit of that investment was gained by Forsyth Barnes.

Project completion

We have designed and delivered a vibrant activity-based environment that is perfectly aligned to Forsyth Barnes’ specialisms in the sports and emerging technology sectors. The new workspace can accommodate up to 48 employees and includes a range of interesting and innovative design features that encourage physical movement and foster interaction and collaboration. Employees benefit from theatre rooms with tiered seating for international virtual meetings and town hall events. We have also installed smart switchable glass that frosts at the touch of a button and Alexa-enabled coffee machines and projectors that add to the high-tech nature of the environment. The sports-themed workspace also features basketball nets, a golf putting green and a large Asian-inspired gong stand to celebrate new job placements as they happen. And we have installed neon lighting throughout, including a large entrance feature to welcome visitors to the office, which proudly displays Forsyth Barnes’ values: EPIC.
