Digital marketing and communications agency, Big Group has moved into new west London headquarters.

We transformed more than 10,000 sq ft of space on the third floor of The George Building on Nicholas Road, part of the Notting Dale Campus.

The ten-week design and build project has allowed the agency to work flexibly and collaboratively on a large, single floorplate.

Big Group is an independent digital marketing and communications agency that helps its clients to connect with their markets and customers.

The agency works with global brands including the likes of Arup, Cisco, Samsung and Pfizer.

Formed more than 25 years ago, it has offices in Newbury, Bath and Amsterdam and employs 150 people.


Marketing agencies not only need space to be creative, they need an environment that reflects who they are and what they offer.

With its generous ceilings, warehouse-style reception and stunning artwork, including an original Andy Warhol, The George Building offers joyful, flexible and open workspaces.

The third floor of the BREEAM ‘Excellent’ rated office building delivers a single floorplate and outdoor terrace space, perfect for teams that need to collaborate frequently.

Big Group commissioned us to undertake a workplace consultancy project to ensure they made the best use of their new office space at The George.

The project informed a bold and contemporary design that embodies the unique experiences that Big Group delivers on behalf of its clients.

Project completion

The new workspace is characterised by the use of concrete walls and ceilings, exposed fittings, crittall-style glass and feature lighting to create an industrial warehouse feel.

It features a series of work zones, including a combination of lounge spaces, collaborative areas and meeting booths, and a quiet library for focused work.

We have installed a variety of furniture combinations, with high tables, a Chesterfield-style sofa and hot pink bucket chairs, complemented by an eye-catching use of patterned fabrics and striking wall art.

Employees also benefit from a large outdoor terrace space which provides a connection between the office and the space outside.

The fast tracked project was successfully completed in just ten weeks during the coronavirus pandemic.
