OP has continued its successful partnership with Farnborough Airport, Europe's leading airport for premium air travel connectivity, by delivering a bespoke office furniture solution for the new office suite within the landmark Domus III hangar development.

This project marks our fourth collaboration with Farnborough Airport, further cementing our role in enhancing the airport's facilities and supporting its position as a major economic driver in the region.

Farnborough Airport's ambitious £55 million investment in Domus III has set a new benchmark in aviation hangar infrastructure. As part of this monumental development, the airport sought to create an office suite that would complement the hangar's cutting-edge design while providing a relaxing, non-corporate environment for staff and visitors.

Our challenge was to furnish a CAT A finished space, working in harmony with the main contractor to deliver a soft, lounge-like atmosphere that diverged from traditional corporate aesthetics. This project required careful coordination and creative problem-solving to ensure seamless integration with the ongoing hangar construction.

OP has successfully furnished the new office suite within Domus III, creating a space that perfectly balances functionality with a relaxed, premium feel. Our office design team carefully selected furniture pieces that eschew the typical corporate look, instead opting for comfortable, inviting elements that promote a sense of ease and well-being.

The furnished space now features:

• Plush, modular seating arrangements that encourage informal interactions

• Ergonomic workstations that blend seamlessly with the overall aesthetic

• Accent pieces that add warmth and character to the environment

• Versatile furniture solutions that can adapt to various needs and configurations

Our team's experience and initiative were crucial in overcoming the unique challenges presented by working within an active construction site. By proactively engaging with the main contractor and adapting to their health and safety protocols, we ensured that all furniture was delivered and installed efficiently, without disrupting the broader hangar development.

This project builds upon our strong track record at Farnborough Airport, which includes:

• A refurbishment of TAG's main training facilities in 2021, featuring new meeting rooms and reconfigured open plan spaces.

• A CAT B refurbishment in 2023, creating an event space and meeting rooms.

• Furnishing of the operations room in 2023
