Sajid will be charged with checking that the company has all the up-to-date documentation and correct certification; reviewing accreditations and professional memberships and looking at next steps to ensure that Office Principles continues to lead with the framework it has in place.

Having made the move from business development to take on the mantle of compliance and sustainability officer, Sajid comments: “Office Principles is a company that seeks continuous improvement and is keen to document and manage its environmental impacts and to set new objectives.

“I’m looking forward to working with our teams and their clients to reduce the carbon emissions of office spaces and to ensure that, as a business, we are aware of any enhancements and initiatives that can further reduce our own carbon footprint.”

Joint managing director of Office Principles, Cyril Parsons acknowledges the importance of Sajid’s role: “We aim to carry on improving our compliance practices across all offices and sites and we expect Sajid to support us, forging relationships with the supply chain and mitigating any risk, as we keep on track to meet our economic and sustainability goals.”

Sajid will be involved with the next stages of the company’s work with an external environmental consultancy to certify operations as carbon neutral in line with the PAS 2060 standard.

Cyril concludes: “A key part of Sajid’s new role will be to help us set the highest ethical business standards, which will guide our actions and decisions. We have so much more to achieve and it’s important that we have the right team assembled to share the vision and help us to achieve these standards.”
