Office Principles North is among the inspiring global design talent to have been shortlisted as a finalist in this year’s SBID International Design Awards.
The firm has been recognised for its design of Shoosmiths’ new Birmingham home at 103 Colmore Row in the category for office design over 2,000 sq m.
Office Principles North worked with Shoosmiths to transform 32,900 sq ft of BREEAM ‘Excellent’ Grade A space into the ideal, hybrid ‘workplace destination’, set over three floors.
The hospitality-led design offers flexible client hosting areas and event spaces, and pays homage to Birmingham’s rich history. It is characterised by its strong sustainability credentials and a host of innovative features, many of which support the diversity, inclusion and wellbeing of Shoosmiths’ people.
We are incredibly proud to be nominated for such a prestigious award. Shoosmiths’ new Birmingham office is a modern, flexible workspace that truly has people, hospitality and choice at its heart. It’s a warm, accessible and inclusive environment that reflects and celebrates the very best of the city’s past and present.
Evaluated by a panel of distinguished, industry-leading experts for design functionality, innovation, creativity and technical execution, an SBID Award is considered one of the most coveted accolades for design excellence.
Success in this GOLD-rated Awards programme demonstrates the highest level of design skill and professional mastery across the interior design profession.
To complete the final stage of judging, the public are now invited to vote for their favourite finalist designs - accounting for 10% of the overall results.
You can cast your vote here.
The public vote will close on 11 September at 5pm (BST).
