OP has completed the transformation of Cooper Parry's new Birmingham home, creating a unique 8,000 sq ft workspace that blends hospitality experiences with contemporary workplace design.

Located on the fourth floor of Cubo Birmingham at Two Chamberlain Square, the reimagined space delivers a distinctive workplace experience that supports hybrid working for up to 80 people while reflecting Cooper Parry's evolution as a brand and their commitment to sustainability as a B Corp-certified business.

This Birmingham project embodies a thoughtful evolution in workplace design for Cooper Parry, creating an environment that perfectly balances their unique, vibrant culture with a more sophisticated aesthetic. By drawing inspiration from hospitality-led spaces and Birmingham's rich heritage, we've delivered a space that doesn't just accommodate hybrid working - it actively enhances the experience of being in the office. We've created a template that can be adapted for future Cooper Parry locations while ensuring each space maintains its own unique identity.

Claire Stant, Creative Director

The four-week project has successfully repurposed much of the existing infrastructure to create a series of dynamic spaces that promote collaboration, social interaction, and workplace wellbeing.

The design draws inspiration from artistic and heritage-inspired hotels and coworking spaces to create a signature aesthetic, incorporating locally influenced elements that celebrate Birmingham's character while maintaining Cooper Parry's distinct identity.

Features include a striking entrance with a digital display area, leading to a versatile events space complete with a bespoke commissioned pool and convertible ping-pong table.

Eclectic lounge seating, feature pendant lighting, and carefully curated artwork create an atmosphere that seamlessly blends professional functionality with hospitality-inspired comfort.

The workplace includes a range of meeting spaces, from informal collaboration zones to a flexible training room created through the strategic installation of a folding wall.

Several meeting rooms have been transformed into open alcoves to encourage spontaneous interaction, while a dedicated wellbeing room provides space for reflection and rejuvenation.

Sustainability was central to the project's delivery, with significant reuse of existing infrastructure including desks, task chairs, and lighting systems. The design team worked closely with Cooper Parry's brand to integrate artwork and finishing touches that enhance the space's distinctive character.

Our new Birmingham home perfectly captures the next phase in Cooper Parry's workplace journey. OP has created an environment that beautifully balances our need for practical workspace with our desire to provide an inspiring, first class experience for our people and our visitors. The space not only supports our commitment to sustainability through the innovative reuse of existing elements, but it also delivers the 'wow factor' we were looking for, providing a distinctive backdrop for collaboration, creativity, and connection.
